Tealby’s Cafe, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home
Many of you know how crazy our Founder, Gay Mill is about dogs! Gay and her partner have rescued three dogs from Battersea Dogs & Cat Home already and so were utterly delighted when we were asked to come up with ideas and furniture solutions for their brand new cafe, Tealby’s, named after Mary Tealby who founded Battersea back in 1860.
Battersea’s branding is bright orange and blue, so seat pads and upholstery were in Sekers and Panaz orange, blue and cream fabrics; the chairs were a mix of stacking Esse side and armchairs and two heights of Esse barstool all by Crassevig. Facing the banquet seating we supplied split upholstered Axel chairs also by Crassevig and Indea64 Artes tables. The Esse high tables were especially manufactured to suit the high stools in the main area and Indea 64 Frankfurt 2-tier poseur tables were used in the Servery area. Outside the Artes (non-wobble) tables and Jacob side chairs are by Indea64.
